AN IDEAL FOR LIVING
AN IDEAL FOR LIVING is a micro label that currently functions mainly as a personal archive for founder Betty Genovese.
It was started in 2005 as a way for Genovese to get her own music out into the world, and was originally hosted on the Internet Archive before moving to BandCamp in 2012.
From 2007 to 2009 the label was renamed Little Box. The label was inactive between 2009-2012 and again between 2014-2023.
In 2023 Genovese reactivated the label to be able to reissue her back catalog of music released under various aliases in one place.
