“The Industry Is Running Well”:
Collection of various experimental and industrial tracks done between 2006 and 2010. Tracks 1-8 were done on a Korg four-track recorder with built-in effects. Tracks 1, 2, 4, and 5(?) were done in my dorm room at SUNY Stony Brook. Propellerhead Rebirth was used on several tracks via an early 2000s Gateway laptop running Windows 98. Percussion on a few tracks was me banging on some textbooks and the base of a desktop microphone stand with drum sticks. Tracks 9 and 10 were done on a cracked/hacked version of Pro Tools Free for Windows 98. The spoken vocal sample on “Dream East” is my brother Chris when he was around 11 years old. I had asked him to read a short segment from a book about nuclear weapons. Several songs feature gameplay from a PlayStation Resident Evil game (sometimes being played by Chris) run though various audio effects (by me). Tracks 11 and 12 were recorded a few years later than the rest (c. 2009/2010). They feature the use of a violin bow on electric guitar and were recorded at the Nana’s DIY venue and recording space in Valley Stream, NY with Pro Tools 7.4. Tracks were originally released under a few different aliases, but the majority were released under the name Leninsk, hence using Leninsk Inc. as the artist name.
