Yesterday I released a new extended play entitled "Become What You Hate". It is the first time (since "Symptoms in Schizophrenia") that I added organic instruments into the mix (guitar and bass) along with building on top of what I established with "Dual Form Madness" by using hardware synthesizers (this time my Roland GAIA SH-01) as well as softsynths. Time to step it up another notch with the recording of what should be my next full-length album. Keep adding guitars (and sometimes bass) use a lot more of my hardware synth collection. Use as little software for sound production as possible. Pretty much the only thing I can't use hardware for is drums. I don't currently own a hardware drum machine, nor am I planning on getting one any time soon. I want to make something a little less chilled out than "Become...". I want to make something exciting. Make people today felt like I did when I first heard 1990's "electronica". This is what I want to do. This is what I must do. It'll take some time, that's for damn sure, but it's not like I have a die-hard fanbase waiting impatiently for my next release. Hell, I'm not sure anybody is really waiting for my next release. So, essentially, I have nothing to lose. Quite literally. I really have no fans so I have none to lose. Hell, I'm not sure if any one actually reads my rantings and ramblings. It can't hurt I guess.
